Story Content Lily and Jake have been planning a surprise party for their friend Emily since last week. They have been gathering decorations and making lists of all the guests. Lily has been baking a cake while Jake has been wrapping gifts. For the past two hours, they have been setting up the party room, making sure everything looks perfect. Suddenly, they realized they have been working so hard that they forgot to take a break. Jake asked, "How long have we been doing this without eating?" Lily laughed and said, "We have been forgetting to eat since we got so excited about the party!" At last, everything was ready, and they sat down to enjoy some sandwiches. As the clock struck seven, they heard the doorbell ring. Emily, who has been wondering why her friends were busy all week, opened the door to find everyone shouting, "Surprise!" She was thrilled and thanked them for the effort they have been putting into making her day special.
